Scanograms
Next week we will be creating scanograms, so bring in some objects to scan. These objects should be small enough to fit on a scanner bed. Here's a couple of images from previous students' scanograms.

2 Images, Due: Wednesday, September 22nd
Use the Photoshop tools we went over today in class (paint brush, paint bucket, selection, filters, etc.) to create one of each of the following images:
1. A image for your blog background. The background should take into account the text that is on the blog, all text should be legible. This should be visible on your blog by next Wednesday (Sept. 22nd).
2. You have the choice to either create an image from scratch or alter an existing image. The existing image can be taken from any source but should be at least 5x7inches at 72ppi.
If you are creating the image from scratch, since you have the ability to make it any size you want, set your document size to at least 5x7 @ 300ppi. You are free to try different sizes and formats but they should be at minimum 5x7 @ 300ppi. Example: if you wanted to have a square image, it would need to be 7x7"@300ppi.
If you are taking an image off the web just make sure the image is at least 5x7 inches @ 72ppi.
Have this image done by next class, at the beginning of class we will go over resizing the image for your blog.
REMEMBER: Always back up your work on an external/portable drive!!! Filmmakers has an 8GB or 16GB for sale at the Equipment Office.
Digital Lab 109 is open for your use for outside of class time.
